QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

What should I look for in a restaurant site?
The Requirements page explains the site traits and demographics we seek for a restaurant. Just remember these are the basics; it is a complex process.

Do I need to actually work in my stores?
D’bo’s prefers owner/operators with a full-time commitment; however, each restaurant must at all times have a full-time, qualified, experienced General Manager (see the Requirements page). You should be prepared to manage and control your business on a daily basis.

How much profit can I expect to make?
We do not make profit claims. The amount you could make is based on many variables such as: retail sales mix, sales margins, location, occupancy costs, operating costs, financing costs and other factors. We encourage you to contact our existing franchisees to conduct your due diligence research. The names and contact information for our existing franchisees are in the UFDD.

Where can I obtain the following information on the franchisor’s financial statements, a copy of the Franchise Agreement, list of fees, royalties, initial franchise fees, etc.?
This information is in the UFDD.

Why does the application and review process take so long? I’m in a hurry!
There are several reasons. As a rapidly growing national franchise system, we receive a substantial number of applications every month. It takes time to review them. And to be fair, applications are processed on a first in, first out basis.

What makes D’bo’s a unique business?
Proprietary flavor profiles provide our customers with quality and consistency that most chains only hope to achieve with a food that is cooked to order.  75-80% of our business is done in carry-out.  This level of food to-go means you can have a small footprint operation going into inline neighborhood shopping centers.  There is no need for drive-thru accessibility or ground-up construction to impede development.  The efficiency of our restaurants is exceptional.  The entire family will feel welcome in our comfortable and inviting surroundings.

What does D’bo’s look for in a franchise candidate?
Our goal, as a restaurant company is to find good operators.  If you want the pride, challenge, and tremendous rewards of owning your own D’bo’s location; if you are hard working, progressive, and have the positive outlook necessary for success in today’s business environment; if you want to be a valued member who shares common goals and interest, then you should take the next step.  Restaurant experience is helpful but not necessary for single-unit operators.  In fact, the majority of our brand-partners have never been in the restaurant business prior to joining D’bo’s.  Multi-unit operators should have previous restaurant operational and or development experience.

What other products are offered at D’bo’s?
Although our wings are a meal by themselves we also offer a variety of D’bo-licious food items.  See menu page on website.

What are the hours of operation?
D’bo’s restaurants are open from 11am-10pm Mon-Thurs, 11am to Midnight Fri & Sat and 12pm-8pm on Sun. Sundays and holidays are optional.

I understand D’bo’s does not deliver, but can I offer delivery for larger orders?
You may deliver catering orders.

Can you send me a UFDD for my review?
Upon request franchise candidates will be sent an application or one can be downloaded from our website.  The application must be completed and returned to the D'bo's Business Development Department for review.  D'bo's evaluate each applicant’s qualifications and ascertains a candidate’s financial ability to successfully open and operate a D'bo's Restaurant.  Once an applicants, qualifications are approved and matched with available opportunities candidates will be issued a Uniform Franchise Disclosure Document (UFDD).  Receipt of the UFDD will provide candidates with opportunity to review the document prior to a personal meeting.  If also affords candidates the opportunity to begin their diligence process and develop a Business Plan for the D'bo's operation.  The Business Plan may be submitted at any time before, during or following the personal meeting.  Candidates are encouraged to bring their Business Plan to the personal meeting.  Typically a personal meeting is scheduled at the time a UFDD is issued.

Can you send me a franchise package or an application? What if I just have more questions?
Please complete the on line application first.  Next you will be contacted by the Business Development Department.  You are welcome to contact us by email @ www.dboswings.com and click on the “contact us” page. In addition, prior to completing an application you may want to inquire about availability or whether or not the market you are interested in is available for single-unit development of multi-unit development.

Will I have a protected territory?

Total Initial Investment $225,000 to $435,000 plus Additional Funds (Working Capital) of $15,000 to $30,000.  Because the Local Advertising Fees are based on Gross Revenues, the dollar amount will vary from Franchised Location to Franchised Location.  Therefore, the Service Fees and Local Advertising Fees are not included in the Total Initial Investment.
